Help Raise Up the Next Generation of Community Perinatal Doulas

Community Perinatal Doulas can make a meaningful difference in the lives of families who need steady support, practical education, compassionate presence, and help navigating complex systems. Medicaid-serving families in particular often face practical barriers to care and benefit from consistent, well-prepared doula support. Many communities have women who are deeply called to this work but need the right training, encouragement, and pathway.

Born Again Academy was built to help meet that need through a Christian, evidence-informed, virtual, and practical training model. We are not simply training doulas to market themselves online and hope to find clients. We are intentionally preparing doulas for meaningful community-based work in systems where Medicaid-covered families already need support. We want to reach people who are not merely looking for a credential, but who are ready to serve with skill, humility, and strong professional boundaries.

That is why we welcome trusted referrers who can help identify future doulas who are mission-minded, service-oriented, and prepared to grow into meaningful community work.

We welcome referrals from people and organizations that share our desire to see families served well and future doulas trained with clarity and purpose.

You may be a good fit if you are:

• A graduate of Born Again Academy who believes in the training and wants to recommend it to others

• A community leader, ministry worker, childbirth professional, or advocate who knows women who may be called to doula work

• A nonprofit, church, pregnancy center, self-supporting ministry, or community-based organization that wants to encourage people into doula training

• A Born Again Perinatal Partner who is helping develop doula capacity in a local area

Our Role Tiers

To keep our referral structure clear, we use three role tiers.

Ambassador

An Ambassador is a graduate or former student of Born Again Academy who promotes the program from personal experience and refers future doulas to enroll.

This role is ideal for someone who can say, with integrity, “I know this training, and I believe it can prepare you well.” Ambassadors help extend the reach of the academy through personal testimony and trusted recommendation.

Affiliate

An Affiliate is an individual or organization that has not taken the course but wants to promote Born Again Academy and refer future doulas into training.

This role is ideal for outside supporters, churches, ministries, community advocates, nonprofit leaders, or others who believe in the mission and want to help identify strong future students.

Partner

A Partner is a Born Again Perinatal Partner who is helping build local doula capacity and may also refer future trainees into Born Again Academy.

This role is especially fitting for those who are recruiting future doulas in connection with local service development, community relationships, and Medicaid-serving doula work.

What Kinds of Students We Hope to Reach

The best referrals are not simply people looking for another online course. We are especially looking for people who are:

• Mission-minded and service-oriented

• Teachable, steady, and compassionate

• Interested in meaningful work that supports mothers and families

• Willing to serve within clear non-clinical boundaries

• Interested in community-based perinatal support, especially for families navigating practical barriers to care

• Open to serving Medicaid populations and other under-supported communities

• Interested in growing into doula work, local leadership, or long-term service through Born Again Perinatal Partners

We especially want to encourage women who already have experience in Christian health ministry, medical missionary work, self-supporting ministry, pregnancy support, community outreach, or practical caregiving.

Referral Compensation

Eligible Ambassadors, Affiliates, and Partners may receive referral compensation for students they refer into Born Again Academy.

Standard Referral Compensation

Referral compensation is 10% of actual collected tuition for each paid trainee referral.

How Compensation Is Calculated

Referral compensation is calculated on the amount actually collected by Born Again Academy after any approved discount has been applied.

When Compensation Is Paid

Referral compensation is paid after the student’s qualifying payment has cleared according to academy policy.

This structure allows us to reward those who help us find future doulas while keeping the academy sustainable and mission-focused.

How Referrers Can Help Most

The most helpful referrers do more than share a link. They help identify the right people.

That may include:

• Encouraging a mission-minded woman who is seeking meaningful work

• Connecting us with women already serving mothers and families informally

• Recommending the academy to those with health evangelism or medical missionary training

• Helping self-supporting ministry workers see doula work as a natural extension of practical Christian service

• Encouraging nonprofit leaders, pregnancy centers, and local ministries to identify women in their communities who may be strong doula candidates

• Helping future doulas see that this work can be both deeply compassionate and professionally grounded

Who Makes a Strong Referral Partner

A strong Ambassador, Affiliate, or Partner is someone who:

• Understands the mission of the academy

• Values meaningful service to mothers and families

• Wants to see more mission-minded people trained for doula work

• Speaks honestly and accurately about the program

• Encourages students who are serious, teachable, and called to serve

• Respects the academy’s standards, policies, and published scope

In Summary

Born Again Academy welcomes three kinds of referral relationships:

• Ambassadors, who are graduates or former students of the academy

• Affiliates, who are outside individuals or organizations promoting the academy

• Partners, who are Born Again Perinatal Partners helping build local doula capacity

Eligible referrers may receive 10% of actual collected tuition for each paid trainee referral.

Our hope is simple: to raise up well-prepared, mission-minded Community Perinatal Doulas who can serve families with compassion, excellence, and meaningful support, including families covered by Medicaid and others who often face practical barriers to care. We want to help doulas move toward meaningful work with real demand, so they can begin serving sooner and with a clearer pathway to sustainability.
