Mission Statement: Born Again Academy exists to equip non-medical perinatal professionals to serve families with excellence, compassion, and a steady Christian witness. We train students to support the perinatal season with skill and humility, honoring both God’s design for birth and the realities that sometimes require medical intervention. Our goal is to help students serve with confidence, clear boundaries, and genuine care.
We teach with confidence in God’s goodness and deep respect for the complexity of real families and real births. Our curriculum is Christ-centered, culturally compassionate, and evidence-informed, with a strong emphasis on non-medical scope. Students learn to communicate calmly and clearly, support informed decision-making, and know when and how to refer to licensed providers and specialists. We prioritize safety, dignity, and professionalism in every pathway, and we intentionally avoid New Age spiritual practices in our training.
Born Again Academy is designed to be practical and ministry-ready. Our courses are 100% virtual and self-paced, with video lessons, handouts, quizzes, and hands-on projects that translate into real-world service. Instead of book reports, students build tools they can actually use, and skill checks may include short self-recorded videos to demonstrate key support techniques. Each course includes a final exam to earn a certificate. We also do not require students to attend births or serve real clients during training, so certification is not delayed for years while someone tries to “log” experiences before they are fully equipped.
Born Again Academy welcomes students and families from all backgrounds. You do not have to share our beliefs to learn with us, and you will be treated with dignity and respect while you are here. Our curriculum is distinctly Christian, and we teach from that framework with clarity and compassion.
Born Again Academy is led by Inga Goodwin, a Christian perinatal educator and support professional committed to serving families with wisdom, warmth, and strong professional boundaries. Inga holds the following credentials: Certified Childbirth Educator (Aviva College), Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (Lactation Education Resources), Certified Dunstan Baby Language Instructor (Dunstan Baby), INA Credentialed Newborn Care Specialist (International Nanny Association), Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist (Postpartum Support International), and Fertility Awareness Instructor (Premom App). Her work blends evidence-informed education with Christ-centered encouragement, helping families feel prepared, supported, and cared for through pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, and the newborn season.
Born Again Academy is rooted in historic Christian faith and the authority of the Bible. We believe Jesus Christ is Lord, Savior, and the perfect picture of compassion, truth, and service. Because every person is created in the image of God, we affirm the dignity and worth of every human life and commit to treating all students and families with kindness, respect, and mercy.
We believe God is wise and good, and that His design is reflected in the physiology of pregnancy, birth, and the nurturing of new life. We also acknowledge that we live in a broken world, and for that reason birth outcomes are not always predictable or ideal. Difficult births, medical interventions, loss, and suffering are not a measure of a family’s faith or God’s love. In this reality, we prepare with humility and diligence: we seek to support families with evidence-informed education, clear non-medical boundaries, and compassionate presence, while entrusting outcomes to God’s sovereignty.
As we await Christ’s return, we aim to serve faithfully in the present. We train perinatal professionals to approach the childbearing season with wisdom, prayerful courage, and steady hope, supporting both mother and baby with care that reflects the heart of Jesus.
